Damola Ademola is a filmmaker, speaker, advertising, and marketing consultant. He is also the co-founder of Inkblot Productions, which has been instrumental in shaping the Nigerian film industry by producing 23 theatrical films and 2 TV series in the past 12 years. Over the past decade, Inkblot has delivered premium, entertaining films that tell diverse stories. Notable among those are The Arbitration and The Wedding Party, which were showcased at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in 2016. The Wedding Party was also the highest-grossing film in the Nigerian box office.
In December 2021, Inkblot achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first African studio to sign a first-of-its-kind output deal with Amazon Prime Video. This deal grants exclusive distribution rights to Inkblot’s new slate of films. Currently, there are 7 movies by Inkblot on the Amazon Prime platform, with 3 in the Top 10 at any given time. Furthermore, Inkblot was commissioned by Netflix in 2020 to create a Netflix original series and released the groundbreaking Young Adult series, ‘Far From Home’ on the platform in December 2022 to critical acclaim.
