Emeka Ajene has a decade of diverse experience across Africa's startup ecosystem as a founder, operator, advisor, investor, mentor, public speaker, and commentator.

He now publishes Afridigest.com, a leading media & intelligence platform focused on ideas, insights, and analysis for Africa-focused founders, funders, and decision-makers. He also supports global capital providers and local innovators via the investment vehicle Afri.capital and the innovation consultancy Africreate.

Prior to this, he co-founded mobility-led super app Gozem in Francophone Africa and led the initial phase of the business as Managing Director/CEO. Before Gozem, he led teams across Africa at online marketplace Konga and global ride-hailing platform Uber. He began his career as an educator in the US, and his professional experiences abroad include investment banking, legal research, & business intelligence. 

Emeka believes that business is the most powerful force for impact & positive change across Africa and was recognized in 2023 as one of the 45 most influential men driving Africa's digital transformation by CIO Africa magazine.
