Senior Advisor to the Digital Minister of the DRC

Freddy Mpinda is a leading expert in the debate on digital transformation in Africa. An  international speaker, he is at the heart of digital development issues. These include critical  digital infrastructures, regulation, cybersecurity, startup financing, human capital and  entrepreneurship. 

Digital is a simple tool that must be used to find solutions to African problems. It must boost agriculture, education, health and good governance. 

Digital transformation is a culture and must be the place for gender equality in Africa", Freddy  Mpinda often repeats.  Freddy Mpinda is a Telecom engineer and graduate of the Faculté Polytechnique de Mons  (Belgium). 

He has over 20 years experience in international telecoms projects (Africa-Europe-Middle East),  consulting (CAP GEMINI, E&Y and PwC) and information systems (Orange Group). 

For the past 4 years, he has been supporting the implementation of President Felix Antoine  Tshisekedi's vision to make the Congolese Digital Economy a strong enabler for integration,  governance excellence, economic growth and social progress.  Co-author of the DRC's National Digital Plan "Horizon 2025", he is also co-author of the OIF's  Digital Francophonie Strategy 2022-2026.
