Jessica Hope

Founder & CEO, Wimbart

Jessica Hope is the Founder  and CEO of Wimbart, the leading African-tech focused PR Agency and Consultancy, based in London.

 Launched in 2015, Wimbart has worked on 120+ of the most exciting and well-funded start-ups and investment platforms, with a focus on Sub Saharan Africa and the MENA region. 

Prior to starting her own PR company, Jessica graduated with a Postgraduate degree from the University of Manchester in Religion & Politics. She then worked as a journalist and editor before taking on the role of Global Head of Communications for IROKO equipping her with both inhouse and agency experience.

With an extensive background in public relations and communications of over 15 years, Jessica has built a unique and dynamic communications consultancy of 25 PR and editorial professionals who cover diverse areas including fintech, agritech, VC & investment, and more. 

She is an experienced speaker, panellist, and mentor, covering a broad range of topics including PR for start-ups, African tech, and Diversity in UK Comms. Jessica has been recognised both in the UK PRWeek Powerbook 2019-23 and in the Provoke EMEA “Innovators to Watch” 2021 list. In 2023 she was named BME PR Pros' Founder of the Year and Wimbart was voted PR Agency of the Year. She anchors several mentorship programmes, including Google’s Africa Accelerator and Women in Tech Africa and is on the advisory board for Leading Ladies Africa
