
Osahon Akpata
Osahon Akpata is Group Head of Consumer Payments at Ecobank Transnational Incorporated where he is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market share for the bank's consumer payment solutions across 33 African countries. In addition toesponsibilities, he is an advisor to several tech startups and a passionate contributor to the burgeoning tech ecosystem in Africa.
Before joining Ecobank, Osahon led McKinsey & Company's Implementation Practice inNigeria, where he aided clients in various sectors, including banking, telecoms, energy, and the public sector, in developing and executing successful strategies. His career began as a financial analyst at Johnson & Johnson's global headquarters in New Jersey, USA, after which he transitioned to an award-winning sales career in the pharmaceutical division.
Osahon holds an Masters in Business Administration from Columbia Business School, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Nottingham Trent University and a diploma in Strategic Partnerships from IMD Business School.
