Abraham Augustine is a Kigali-based digital economy researcher and writer and currently the Ecosystem and Marketing Manager at Norrsken East Africa, working out of Norrsken House Kigali, the foundation’s East African hub for founders and funders building impact-driven companies.

He is also Principal Consultant at Aperçu, a research and advisory practice focused on private technology companies, capital and market structures in emerging markets, and writes Money Myths Africa, a newsletter that interrogates popular narratives about markets and venture capital on the continent.

Before Norrsken, he was a Senior Reporter at TechCabal, covering startups, investors and regulators, and authored the Next Wave, the publication’s weekly op-ed newsletter. His writing has also appeared in Rest of World and through the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. In 2022, he was one of 35 journalists worldwide selected for the Entrepreneurial Journalism Creators Program at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism.
