Guinean-born Oumar Barry is the CEO and Co-Founder of Cauridor. He began his career as a Design Engineer, where he spent seven years designing transmission and distribution infrastructure for one of Canada’s largest electricity providers. He went on to teach at Central Michigan University and Virginia Tech and published over 100 technical papers.

Oumar carried both the engineering rigour and the intellectual discipline into entrepreneurship, founding BNB Transfer in Canada, a cross-border money transfer business serving African corridors that would eventually grow into what is today known as Cauridor.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Ryerson University and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto, bringing a combination of deep technical expertise and cross-border business acumen to one of Africa’s most complex infrastructure challenges.
