Toyosi Badejo-Okusanya is a deaf Nigerian technologist and the founder of Adaptive Atelier, an
accessibility technology company building AI-powered tools and a marketplace of disabled experts
to make digital products genuinely usable by everyone. Diagnosed with hearing loss at age four,
Toyosi’s lived experience of navigating a world not built for her shaped a career that has spanned
advocacy, global brand strategy, and now technology. She has worked with organisations including
Estée Lauder – Jo Malone London and Phonak, and partnered with brands including MAC
Cosmetics UK, The Body Shop, Sephora, Space NK, Channel 4 UK, Freeview TV, and the Paralympic
Games.

Through Adaptive Atelier, Toyosi leads a team building three connected products that identify, fix,
and validate digital accessibility — while creating real, paid opportunities for disabled professionals
whose expertise has historically gone uncompensated. She sits on the Advisory Board of SignHealth
UK, the country’s largest employer of deaf people, and shares her journey with a community of over
18,000 people through her series, Sound Through My Lens. Split between Lagos and London,
Toyosi is building toward a future where accessibility is standard, not exceptional — and where
technology works for everyone, not a select few.
